VSY celebrated the 70th anniversary
On November 12, 2018 Vyborg Shipyard (part of United Shipbuilding Corporation) celebrated the 70th anniversary.
In Vyborg there was held a festive event on the occasion of 70 years since the date of Vyborg Shipyard foundation. According to the existing tradition, the best workers of the shipyard were awarded for their success in work and active participation in production and social activities of the shipyard. By the order of General Director, seven employees of VSY PJSC were awarded the title of Honorary Veterans of the Shipyard. Advisor to General Director Valery Levchenko became an honorary citizen of the municipality Vyborg district of the Leningrad region.
On the occasion of the jubilee the Youth Organization of Vyborg Shipyard prepared a musical concert that took place at the Palace of Culture.
Reference: Vyborg Shipyard is one of the largest enterprises in the North-West region which has unique production capacities for Russia and access to the waters of the Gulf of Finland. The history of the enterprise started on November 12, 1948 with the approval of the Provisional Regulations on Part-Time Service of Yard 870 MSP signed by the Ministry of the shipbuilding industry of the Soviet Union. Over the 70-year history, Vyborg Shipyard built105 topside modules of platforms for development of oil and gas fields, 9 offshore drilling platforms, more than 250 vessels and floating facilities of different purpose from non-propelled, low-tonnage vessels to rescue vessels, chemical protection vessels. Since 2012 Vyborg Shipyard PJSC is a corporate member of United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC.
