A fishing trawler was laid at Vyborg Shipyard
On January 26, 2018 at Vyborg Shipyard (part of United Shipbuilding Corporation) there was held a solemn keel-laying ceremony of a fishing trawler project KMT02.01 to be built by order of Nord Pilgrim. The guests were greeted by the General Director of Vyborg Shipyard Alexander Solovyev: "It is becoming a good tradition at Vyborg Shipyard to lay the keels for new vessels. For us, this is certainly a pleasant and festive event. Last year, the first vessel under the draft law on investment catch quotas was laid at Vyborg shipyard. Today we are starting a new series of trawlers designed for development of the Barents Sea fishery as well as for the Russian Federation development".
After the welcoming words a laying nameplate was attached to the vessel section. The trawler with Ice3 category reinforcements and the trawl complex of the latest generation is designed for catching bottom fish species. On board there will be installed equipment with planned catching and 24-hour freezing capacity up to 100 tons of fish per day and combined holds for marine products with capacity up to 375 m3.
