Launching and transfer to the customer PSV’s « SBS TYPHOON » hull took place
On August, 17th 2006 at Vyborg Shipyard JSC launching and transfer to the customer PSV’s « SBS TYPHOON » hull took place. Engineering design VS 470 MKII has been developed by Norwegian engineering company « Vik-Sandvik AS ». The customer of given vessel is one of affiliated companies of the Norwegian Shipyard « Aker Aukra AS ».
Vessel has following characteristics:
LOA — 73,4 m;
Breadth — 16,6 m;
Depth up to main deck — 7,6 m;
Maximum draught — 6,5 m;
DWT — aprox. 3550 t.
Earlier on Vyborg had been transferred vessel constructed on the same project to representatives of the Norwegian Shipyard « Aker Langsten AS ». Nowadays both shipyard-customers are included into concern « Aker Yards », to which Vyborg Shipyard JSC have long-term cooperation in various joint projects.

Within last five years at Vyborg Shipyard JSC construction of eighteen hulls of various assignment has been effected. Now at Shipyard construction of two more hulls of PSV with high level of saturation by gears and systems is conducted, and also there is some orders on construction of similar vessels «on a turn-key basis».
