Ceremony of handing over to the Customer of a multipurpose semi-submersible platform project CS50 will be held at Vyborg Shipyard on 6 May 2003 at 12.00. The platform is constructed in full compliance with the production schedule and contractual terms.
The multipurpose bare deck platform CS50 is the 5th generation of semi-submersible platforms designed by Moss Maritime AS (Norway). The platform is of catamaran type with two pontoons and six stabilizing columns supporting the upper hull.
Main particulars: 118,6x70,4x40,6m; hull weight is about 15 000t.
The bare deck is strong enough to accommodate a topside structure weight up to 20 000t and adapted for installation of an anchorage system for operation at sea depth to 1500m or dynamic positioning system for operation at sea depth to 3000m.
Vyborg Shipyard is specialized in building of technical facilities for offshore field exploration, including semi-submersibles and jack-ups, topside structures of stationary production installations as well as supply and standby vessels for servicing drilling operations offshore.
As part of the ceremony modern designs of drilling platforms and vessels offered by Vyborg Shipyard to the companies working on the continental shelf will be presented.
