The Shipyard has performed unique works on modernization of two universal container vessels. Within 30 day the vessel was lengthened by 9m: lifted on the building berth, cut and prefabricated insert piece (block) about 150 tons was welded into the hull. Besides, sponsons were fabricated and installed on the sides of the vessel, new pipelines and cable trays were laid, hatch covers were manufactured and additional ballast and dry compartments were arranged. The works have been fulfilled in the shortest time and, as it was scheduled by the ship owner, exactly 30 days after the vessel was taken in for modernization it will be back to the line.
