European companies can locate their production in Russia
Companies from Europe are considering the possibility for localization of their production in Russia. This question was discussed by management of Vyborg Shipyard (group member of United Shipbuilding Corporation) during the visit to the production facilities of the companies the shipyard is currently cooperating with within delivery of the equipment for newbuildings.
VSY delegation had a look at the production facilities of the Spanish company Ibersica. This week the company delivered a set of electric-driven anchor and trawl winches for the lead fishing trawler "The Barents Sea". In addition, there was also held a meeting with the management team of Wärtsilä Iberia. The company will supply stern-tube bushing and propulsion units for fishing vessels being under construction at the shipyard. Another partner of VSY is Fluidmecanica, a company producing deck and hydraulic equipment. VSY delegation visited production facilities of the company and signed contracts for delivery of the equipment.
All suppliers have vast experience in the Russian market, they intend to invest in Russia and hope for further localization of their production.
