Third vessel in series of four trawlers-processors KMT01 launched at Vyborg Shipyard
Vyborg Shipyard (part of United Shipbuilding Corporation) hosted a launching ceremony of the third serial-built trawler-processor project KMT01 Beloye More contracted by Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet (part of NP North West Fishing Consortium).
Vyborg Shipyard PJSC is building four state-of-the-art large-capacity fishing trawlers project KMT01 for Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet. Beloye More was launched on May 25, 2018. All trawlers of the series are at different stages of construction, the lead ship Barentsevo More – at the final stage and will be handed over in 2020.
Barentsevo More (NB 936) launched on December 5, 2018, has become the first complete large-capacity fishing vessel ever built at a Russian shipyard. The second in the series vessel Norvezhskoye More (NB 936) was launched in May 2019.
Construction of the vessels is carried out under the “investment quotas” program providing incentives for placing orders for fishing vessels at domestic shipyards. As of February 2020 Vyborg Shipyard is building at the same time six large-capacity fishing vessels , two more will be laid down this year.
Each vessel project KMT01 will be equipped with the most advanced trawling complex and fish processing factory capacity up to 160 tons of raw fish per day. KMT01 project, measuring 86 m in length and 17 m in breadth, Ice 3 class with hull reinforcement to Arc 4 class, is intended for operation in the Northern fishery basin. Its on-board automated factory and fish meal plant is designed for production of fillets, fish oil, fish meal and preserves.
