The model of the icebreaker being under construction at VSY has been exhibited in the Rumyantsev Mansion
Last week a ceremonial opening of the exhibition “100 years in the Service of the Fleet. Russian Maritime Register of Shipping” took place at the Rumiantsev Mansion. Among the exhibits there is shown the model of the icebreaker project 21900 M. A series of vessels of this project is being built at Vyborg Shipyard JSC. Among the interesting displays and exhibits there are historical documents showing development of the Russian fleet starting from the end of XVII century, photo materials, models of the vessels built at different times under supervision of the Register.
The exhibition will be open until April 1, 2014.

Today RS is one of the leading Classification Societies of the world, a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), recognized by the European Union, maritime administrations of 70 flag states. At the moment in RS class there are more than 5 thousand of vessels under flags of 53 states, including hi-tech icebreakers and ice class vessels, floating drilling rigs, research vessels, submersible vehicles and the entire civil nuclear fleet.
