Fishing trawler project KMT02.02 was laid at Vyborg Shipyard
In the keel-laying ceremony there took part Deputy General Director of VSY Andrey L. Popov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FOR Group Dmitry G. Kozharsky, Member of the Board of Directors of FOR Group Nikolay V. Ulyanov, Deputy Director of the Baltic Branch of RMRS Alexey V. Timoshchuk.
The guests were welcomed by Deputy General Director of Vyborg Shipyard Andrey L. Popov: “Today we start construction of a new vessel. It is gratifying to note that this has become a good tradition for us. Today we are laying a vessel for the company Atlantrybflot included in FOR Group. We should note that Vyborg shipbuilders are gaining competences in the fishing fleet industry with construction of one of the most sophisticated vessels in the civil shipbuilding sector. I am sure that Vyborg quality will fully satisfy the expectations and requirements of the customer. I wish a good start to this vessel! "
After the welcoming words a laying nameplate was attached to the section. Then a blessing ceremony of the section was held by Archpriest Vyacheslav Nikitin, Rural Dean of the Kurortny District of St. Petersburg.
The Ice3 class trawler with hull reinforcement up to Arc4 and a trawl complex of the latest generation is designed for catching bottom fish species. On board the vessel there will be installed equipment with the planned catching and 24-hour freezing capacity up to 100 tons of fish per day and combined holds for marine products with capacity up to 375 m3.
Technical characteristics of the vessel: length - 80.4 m, breadth - 15.4 m, draught - 6.51 m, displacement - 5563 tons, power unit capacity - 4.64 MW.
