On 12 November 2013 Vyborg Shipyard celebrated its 65th anniversary
In Vyborg there were held festive events on the occasion of 65 years from the date of foundation of Vyborg Shipyard. In his opening address general director Alexander Solovyev mentioned that over the years of its history Vyborg Shipyard had come through difficult periods, however, today the shipyard feels confident about the future. "At the present time we are focus minded on construction of three icebreakers project 21900М. For the purposes of this project at the shipyard in the shortest time there was built a semisubmersible barge which lifted the dimension restrictions for the vessels under construction. Also we are in active search of new orders", - commented Alexander Solovyev.
At the celebration there took part the shipyard employees, partners, customers, authorities represented by United Shipbuilding Corporation, Government and Legislative Assembly of Leningrad region, municipal executives of Vyborg and Vyborg district. Over hundred fifty employees of the shipyard were presented with certificates of appreciation and acknowledgement. Adviser to Director General Valery Levchenko, former General Director of the shipyard, was awarded with honorable distinction «For the contribution to development of Leningrad region»
