The official ceremony of launching of the Шstervold trawler hull will be held at Vyborg Shipyard
The official ceremony of launching and delivery to the Customer of the Шstervold trawler hull will be held at Vyborg Shipyard on October 12, 2002, at 13.00.
This is the 5th trawler/seiner hull built in the latest two years for the Norwegian company DOF Industri AS, design by Vik Sandvik (Norway).
Financial support for this project is provided by Bank Saint-Petersburg JSC.

In the same way as the previous 4 hulls this trawler is built in cooperation with the Norwegian shipyard Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted a.s. As compared to the previously built hulls on this newbuilding the scope of outfitting works has been significantly increased: main engine, shaft generator, propeller-rudder system, thrusters were installed. For the first time fish holds have been turnkey completed and fitted with the seawater circulation system.
The project of building of a series of trawlers is supported by Bank Saint-Petersburg JSC which has provided a credit facility of 6.7 MUSD for the period of 8 months.
The Customer is satisfied with cooperation with Vyborg Shipyard. Vyborg shipbuilders have once again shown professional and reliable performance. Cooperation between DOF and Vyborg Shipyard is an example of effective and mutually advantageous cooperation between Russia and Norway. By order of companies of DOF Industri group Vyborg Shipyard has delivered 5 trawler hulls, 3 hulls are under construction in different stages and in last September there was signed a contract for construction of 2 more super trawlers 90,5x16,0x9,6m with delivery in July and October 2003.
Improving quality in every new project we hope that experience, technologies and resources of Vyborg Shipyard obtained in construction of super trawlers will be called up also by domestic ship owners for renewal of the Russian fishing fleet and regaining by Russia of the former prestige of the sea fishing power.
