The participants of the International Conference visited Vyborg Shipyard
On October 9, 2014 the participants of the International Conference «Modern technologies in professional education» visited Vyborg Shipyard. The conference was held in Vyborg in the period from 9 to 10 October within realization of the project «Personnel training for social and economical development of the Leningrad Region». Among the guests there were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, National Educational Department of Finland, Government Executive Authorities of the Leningrad Region and the other regions as well as heads of educational institutions.
During the meeting the participants visited VSY production facilities including the building berth where works on completion of the prototype icebreaker “Vladivostok” project 21900M and on hull assembly of the next of the series vessel are being performed. After the excursion around the Shipyard facilities the visitors had a meeting with the Shipyard management and discussed a current backlog of the Shipyard, its perspectives and production capabilities. Further there was arranged a round-table discussion devoted to problems of personnel training and measures to be taken to solve them. VSY specialists told about comprehensive work implemented at VSY including recruitment process, employees training and motivation as well as provided the answers to all raised questions.
