New profile cutting line at Vyborg Shipyard
April 29th 2014 at Vyborg Shipyard there was opened a mechanized profile cutting line. The opening ceremony of the new line was held right after the event devoted to launching of the lead icebreaker project 21900 M "Vladivostok".
«At construction of block-modules for different type oil & gas production and processing facilities and LNG plants scope of profiles increases up to 80% and higher as compared to 12% in shipbuilding orders. Commissioning of the new line will provide a rise in labor productivity and reduction of labor input», - commented general director of Vyborg Shipyard Alexander Solovyev. Productivity of the newly installed Messer line is 20 000– 30 000 t of rolled steel per year.
