The partner of Vyborg Shipyard, Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, won the tender for construction of the icebreaker
On January 22, 2014 Arctech Helsinki Shipyard being together with Vyborg Shipyard JSC a part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation was declared the winner in the tender for construction of the icebreaker for the Finnish Transport Agency. Winning the tender became possible among the others due to productive cooperation of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Vyborg Shipyard JSC and financial partners of both shipyards.
As Alexander Solovyev, General Director of Vyborg Shipyard JSC, mentioned: «Arctech Helsinki Shipyard is our old and reliable partner. VSY and AHS is a unique example of successful cooperation between the Russian and Finnish enterprises in construction of ice class vessels. Cooperation of our shipyards in construction of current orders as well as the new ice- breaker for the Finnish Transport Agency is one more confirmation of successful development of the Russian-Finnish partnership».
