The float over operation of the Polar Star SSFDR was successfully executed
On July 5, 2010 there was successfully executed the unique float over operation of Topside of the Polar Star semi-submersible floating drilling rig (weight more 18 000 t) onto Lower Hull by the workers of Vyborg Shipyard JSC in cooperation with subcontractors involved.
The float over operation was performed within 5 days. At the present moment there are carried out works on mating and welding of integration zones, equipment testing and completion works on the platform. The delivery term for the first rig is December 2010.
