Towing of SSFDR “Polyarnaya Zvezda” to Kholmsk has begun
Final sea-trials punches of SSFDR “Polyarnaya Zvezda” were killed on December 17, 2010. After that Vyborg shipyard JSC and Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. signed Protocol of Delivery and Acceptance of commissioning works on SSFDR. Towing of SSFDR “Polyarnaya Zvezda” to port Kholmsk started on December 18, 2010. Unless the weather conditions are bad, the Rig will be in the area of Zyryanskaya Bay by December 24, 2010, as per original plan. Crew, who is going to operate the Rig, and representatives of Vyborg shipyard JSC are on board. As of 9.00a.m. of December 20, 2010 the Rig covered 330 miles, overall distance of towage is 960 miles.
